Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. i'm sorry if this is very redundant now. but here is my problem.
i've had my ipod since december, and my computer and itunes has never had a problem recognizing it. i moved last weekend and when i hooked up my ipod again through my firewire, the pc recognized it, but itunes wouldnt. i tried it a few more times and all the ipod would do was freeze up. it would charge occasionally for about a minute and then freeze up. the whole time, itunes and my pc would not recognize it. i unpluged my power chord, waitied 5 minutes before pluging it in again, same problem. tried to reinstall itunes and it's still not working. i'm using xp and i can't use a usb hookup.
i'm wondering if this may be a problem with my firewire card since my pc isn't even recognizing it.
i really don't want to try to restore my ipod and risk losing my entire library. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
