View Full Version : At times, doesn't respond to scrolling...

I've had my iPod for a few weeks, worked perfectly until last night. I tried to adjust the volume, it didn't respond. I checked to see if hold was on, it wasn't. I pushed next, and that worked. Right after I pushed next, it would allow me to adjust the volume, but if I waited about 3 seconds, then I'd be out of luck. It wasn't just volume though, it was scrolling in general. If I was at a list of songs, I wouldn't be able to scroll. However, if I pushed menu (back) and then select (forward again) to the same screen, I would momentarily be able to scroll.

In desperation, I slid hold on, and then back off again. That did the trick, and it worked perfect again.

Until today, when it did the same exact thing. Again, a toggle of the hold switch did the trick.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? It hasn't been 30 days yet, so if I had to I could return it, but I'd rather not ;).

Try doing the soft reboot?

If that doesn't work I suggest re-formatting.

I had that problem with my Photo. What I did is Restarted the iPod, and since then I have had no problems so try that out. If you are still having problems then do a re-format. If worse come to worse, take it to where you got it.

yeah, soft reset is probably your best friend right after the search function of ipodlounge's forums :)

The problem should disappear in time.
