View Full Version : iTrip Troubles in an Audi
I've been sucessfully using my iTrip in all our other cars, but for some reason it doesn't work in our new Audi AllRoad. Has anyone heard of troubles specific to a vehicle make? I had emailed the manufacturers website, and their response was pretty lame ("We can't test them all"). Thoughts from anyone would be appreciated.

The reception in my current Honda Accord is not as good as the last Accord and I put this down to the ariel being integrated into the rear windshield and less sensitive to the iTrip's output.
The radio seems to pick up normal FM stations with ease and hold a signal so I don't think that the radio is the problem.

I can't speak for the Audi, but the iTrip was useless in my Renualt Laguna, as it picked up electrical interferance from my power steering. The ariel was also in the back window, a long way away !
I ended up hard wiring my ipod into the car, and the sound is now perfect.
The solution is simple.
Move the iPod to the rear of the vehicle nearer to where the aerial is. Iit may not be what you want from a visual point of view but if you want audio that works it's your only option unless you want to do something like this.
