Cassette adapter for iPod

I just bought the iCarPlay cassette adapter for my car and my car tape player doesn't like the cassette, it keeps spitting it out. Will a regular cassette adapter from my cd player work or should I only use the ones specifically for the iPod?

The cassette adapter from your CD player will work fine.

i had the similar problem. try nugging the cassette when its in the tape deck.
