I'm in AU (Australia) but its the same thing as the US, tell me how to copy the firmware and ill email it to you right now, i've got the 15 gig model

First of all, thanks very much for doing this - I'd given up on this to be honest.

If the oz version is similar to the european, on the grey iPod cd there should be a folder called iPod Installer and in that folder there is an archive called iPod2.pkg

If you could mail me that file I'd be very greatful.

Can I also make a request for the US version 2 of the iPod software?

I just bought a new iPod and I'm dissapointed that it doesn't go as loud as I want ;-( Email is on my profile - big thanks to any kind person that can help!

I just popped in my US CD (30GB) and did a search on "iPod2.pkg", but didn't find it. Anything else to look for?

Well obviously I don't know the contents of the US disk but it should be a pretty obvious file - biggish ~30MB and if you open it, it should launch an installer. If you can't find it never mind but thanks for trying.

On my UK disc, there is a folder called 'iPod Installer'. Inside that there is the file 'ipod2.pkg' - us poor UK folks are after the US version of this file ;-)

30Mb is too big to email, but if you can find it, I'm sure I can work a way for you to get it to me ;-)

But someone will have some kind of webspace, ftp server, carracho server or iDisk to upload it too?!?!?
