right now I have a pioneer head unit with an AUX input that I use for my ipod...I want to get a new head unit that allows me to control the ipod, I know alpine has one and I think pioneer too, what do you guys recomend?
I want the best...let me know what you guys think.

From what I have read and heard the Apline set-up is higly recommended, though at a price, Pioneers if good looking stuff but again quite expensive.
I personally would go for the Alpine set-up, as it is designed for the iPod, and is of good quality!

Recently I had a look at both. Here in Australia, the price of both the Pioneer and Alpine were identical (AU$750.00) installed. The dealer however recommended the Alpine unit. I personally think that there is very little difference between the two.
