hi, can anyone help me out.. i have my ipod hooked up to a belkin adapter, which is hooked up to a CRB10 (2 rca's that combine and plug into the back of the HU's CD changer port), and a pioneer 6500 HU.

i turned the AUX IN to On, but there is no audio signal. the tuner and cd player work fine, does anyone know what might be wrong?

thanks

Are you using the headphone jack or line-out.
If using head phone jack, the iPod has to have the volume turned up to work.

"which is hooked up to a CRB10 (2 rca's that combine and plug into the back of the HU's CD changer port)"
I've never heard of hooking up this way.

Is that the Belkin Auto Kit? If so, there is a volume dial on it; perhaps that is turned down.

I've got a similiar set up with a Pioneer deck.

It should work. Just to check you've turned off the Pioneer deck and held down the function key until the setup menu came up. And then enabled the aux input there.

Then using the deck normally changed to "Aux" and then press play on the iPod. If you haven't modded the Belkin for a true lineout then you will also need to have power to the Auto Kit (ie pluged in to cigarette lighter and engine on usually).

Hope that helps.

scource on the ipod? WTF?

i just hooked up my in vehicle setup on saturday.
i didnt buy that crappy 40 dollar cd rb10 adapter.

i got the buy.com 10 dollar thingy and a bestbuy 12v charger for 24bucks and an rca to headphone jack adapter for another 4bucks.

i turned my deh4600mp decks aux feature on by the above directions(turn it off, hold down function then select aux to on. **note you need to have the memory wire for the deck ran to a constant 12v otherwise it will default to off each time)

once that was done i made sure my connections were solid.

adjusted ipod and HU volume acordingly and it sounds awsome.
