Clear iSkin...

I really like the look of the iSkins. I've been lurking over all the posted pics here and elsewhere since i got my iPod 2 weeks ago. My dilemma is that I really like how the iPod looks...however, the pictures of the Ice iSkin don't really look as preserving of the original look as I'd like. So I guess I'd either like some convincing or I'd like to hear if from Lajo if a clearer case will ever be available, and if not, i'd be curious to know why.

I really need some sort of case soon...even after just two weeks of use my iPod has WAY more scratches than I wish. I especially dislike the ones on the screen.

There will be a clear case made from a different material, it is in the works.

Any kind of ETA on that case? Like I said I really could use a case soon! Also, what would the different material be like? Would this case still be like the iSkin?

why don't you just buy a iSkin for now and then when the new one comes out you can buy that too.

Because our competition is always watching what I am doing I can only give you a few details, when I am at a point ready to release then you will have it all. That way I protect my distribution network and my work here in China. It cost a lot of time and money to develope new ideas.

what do you mean about the clear iskin not preserving the look as much as you'd like? do you want the chrome back to show...? I think the other white iSkins (snow, etc) look nicer than the clear iSkin, especially when it comes to keep the regular appearance of the iPod....

if you like the regular apparence of the ipod and you wish for only scratch protection then you could go with the maclear.

I would like the chrome back to show. I agree that Snow and Frost look better than the Ice in general.

Bennok, I will be posting pictures of Ice/Frost/Snow iSkins all side to side under different light condition so that people can really get a good feel for them. Keep an eye open it might convince you. I was also somewhat skeptical myself until I received my iSkins and tried them for the first time. They are great piece of work. ;)
