I just got my 10gb iPod today, it's Mac formatted, and i downloaded the 1.3 iPod Software Updater to "Restore" my Pod, but the #### thing won't recognize my iPod.
My Firewire card is connected .. iPod is charging off of it, the Network Connections folder in the Control Panel shows the 1394 Connection for FireWire, as well as making sure the IEEE 1394 Bus Controller in Device Manager is 'working properly' according to windows .. and MacOpener won't seem to work either.

Note: I also tried following the instructions in the General Help thread, to no avail.
I'm using XP btw .. any advice, tips, help, free sex i could get?

Uninstall MacOpener first. I've seen that cause problems.

Can you see the iPod in My Computer? If you can, right click, select Format then do a Quick Format. Then launch the updater.

Oh, and uninstall any iPod software that's on your PC before doing this.

well MacOpener was causing problems .. MacDrive fixed the problems, and I got it working.

BUT NOW .. everytime i connect my ipod to my PC i get a blue screen and a physical dump occurs .. any idea what would cause this? my comp isn't the greatest [PIII 733mhz etc..] but it should be able to handle me connecting my iPod .. any suggestions?
