Just bought the new Grand Cherokee and haven't found anyone with a solution to integrating my ipod into the vehicle. Whether its just an audio feed or a solution with full music information displayed on the screen I need my iPod in the car! Any ideas? Car has no tape player and the radio transmitters don't work well near me. Help, please!

Does it have Cd changer controls? If not then you are pretty much out of luck. Your best option would be to get a new headunit and integrated iPod adapter (clarion. Alpine, Pioneer and Kenwood all make these things).

The problem is that the head unit is a very nice factory nav system and it has a built in 6 disc changer. That's way too costly to replace and still have the same functionality. I'm sure there's a solution even if you only get the feed without the song data.

Rather than repeat the information I'll just point you to the previous threads where this problem's been discussed...

does the cd changer have a Aux port? My Chrysler Pacifica does so I thought yours might.

Haven't tried it but you need something like this to do what you want:

I know that it has been made clear that it is currently impossible to hardwire an iPod to Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler cars with 6 disk changers, but in my 05 Jeep, I have only a single disk... wouldnt there be an input open to hardwire my ipod to?, or is it just that the system is not currently compatible?

Unfortunately, it's not the 6-disk changer, so much as the CAN-bus communication network they are putting in these vehicles. Eventually, this network is going make adding things to the car a piece-of-cake, but until the aftermarket catches up with the new technology, we're screwed.
Right now, your only options if you stay with the OEM head-unit are: FM Transmitter, FM Modulator, Cassette Adapter (if you have the cassette player, obviously), or a hak through the Satellite radio port (check out the links I provided earlier).
Of course, you always have the option to replace the head-unit with something from Alpine, Pioneer, Clarion, etc.
Choices, choices, choices.... ain't technology grand?!?!
