View Full Version : "Last Played" in Smart Playlists not always valid?

I have a smart playlist on my iPod that would seem to be pretty simple... any song that's not on the 'iTrip' playlist and has a "Last Played" date that's not within the last 14 days.

Well, now and then it'll still throw in a song that I know I just heard a day or two ago. I know I didn't skip the song (I was in the other room when it played), so I'm wondering why the iPod isn't remembering to pass it over when I use my 'no recently played songs' smart list.

Any suggestions from the peanut gallery?

It could be that you have the song in there more than once. Sometimes you get a duplicate in there and it only knows it played one when you have 2 or 3 copies. Just a thought.

Nah, I'm sure the song's only on there one time. No biggie though. Maybe my mind is playing tricks. :)

I encountered something similar with my 40gb Photo

I looked at my last played songs, and found 8 tracks by the same artist had been played around 23:00 hours, yet the last time I used the ipod was around 20:00 hours !!!

To my knowledge, I've never ever played 8 tracks by the same artist right after each other !!!
