I am intrigued by the Pro Clip iPod mount. Specifically the fact that they have a mount made specifically for my car (1990 VW Golf :( ). The one flaw that I am seeing from the ipodlounge review is that Pro Clips Ipod holder does not support iPods with silicone cases on them. I do not want to have to remove my exo2 case everytime I put it in my car...so have they fixed this problem? Or can you still not mount an ipod that is in a skin.

If you cannot mount an ipod in a skin, can you buy a holder from a different company, but still use pro clips mount?

ah, just to let you know, lots of compaines make car-specific mounts, like panavise. Also, you'll want to look into a lager generic holder to hold the i-pod with the skin on. They are generally sold for stuff like pocket PC's...

Good Luck

I looked at panavise, but they don't make one for my car (that I could find). So I was happy to see that pro clip does make one, and ipl reviewed it very highly.

Will an arkon cradle (CM30) screw onto the pro-clip mount? Or is there any other way to attack that cradle to the mount?

Get the Arkon mount with the gooseneck. It will definitely hold an iPod in a skin. It's around $42 with shipping.
