Sorry, i posted this accidently in a reply before, so in case you see duplicates, i apologize, but...

Does anyone know why i keep getting the "do not disconnect message"? I unmounted the iPod (using the system tray icon) and yet its still showing this. ( i was afraid if i removed it my iPod would die) Then i turned my computer off, and still the same thing, the message didnt go away, it kept flashing. Now i cant even use the iPod b/c it keeps flashing do not disconnet. when i turned on my computer again and stuck the iPod back into the dock, the computer didn't recognize it, and I tried clicking on "mount iPod" but that didn't work either. so now im stuck with an iPod that won't play music, won't be recognized on my PC and won't stop flashing "do not disconnect" does anyone know what i can do? i tried toggling the buttons for it to reset, but that didn't work either.

please let me know!

thanks and much appreciated

So, you've tried the doing a reset by holding Menu and Pause/Play until the iPod logo comes up? Have you held the buttons down for like 15 seconds?

If that doesn't work, put it into forced firewire mode. Press the FF and REW buttons until OK to disconnect comes up, then connect it, it should be recognized.

You might have to do a restore to get it back, maybe not though.

If you're not using MMJB uninstall the iPod Manager, it can cause connection problems.
