As with iTunes Australia, rumoured to appear within the next month ... and Mac updates ... A big month for Apple seems to be planned!

I hate you, Gerard :D I need iTunes Singapore! Damnit.

Anyways, I'd rather save for a propsosed "iPhone" as to an iTunes phone. I had rumours regarding to Apple :p

I think, before people get their hopes up, that it should be said that the iTunes phones will not have iTunes Music Store capabilities -- meaning that the iTunes phones are meant to be used like iPods, where you "sync" music from the computer to the phone and play it via an iTunes-like interface.

Downloading songs from the iTunes Music Store is not proposed to be a feature. I know I'd love to see it, but it seems like a lot of people use the term "iTunes" to mean the iTunes Music Store, and a phone labeled "iTunes" does not mean that it will have "iTunes Music Store" capabilities.

Eh... I don't have a cell phone but the idea still sounds pretty cool.

I would have thought that would be the only reason Apple would release iTunes for a phone, so people can buy on-the-go. It's like impulse buying really isn't it? You can imagine someone in a CD shop checking out the latest releases, but wishes to buy them from the iTMS. They may forget about it before they get home to purchase these songs, but if they have iTunes on they're phone then they could buy it then and there.

I don't see why Apple would do this otherwise? There are several companies already offering music downloads through mobile phones (Vodaphone and 02), we know that it is possible with the 3G network. Also it may put people off buying iPods if they can just use they're phone as a make-do one.
