So my laptop just got re-imaged and all my songs were in it. this is okay since all my songs are on my ipod but now i just realized that to re-install my ipod with my itunes, it's going to delete all my songs.
Is there anything i can do to stop this from happening? because i have not saved ANY of my songs. they're all on my ipod.
help!

Welcome. Download iPod Agent www.ipodsoft.com and transfer the songs back to the computer.
See "Simple Guide" in my sig.

Lord well that's one way to do it if you like Shareware.
If you want to do this on the cheap and (more effective way). Fire up the 'ol Windows Explorer (Winkey+E),.
I'll asume that you have never done this before...
Step 1) Click on 'Tools' then 'Folder Options'
Step 2) Click on the 'View' Tab.
Step 3) Click on 'Display Hidden Files and Folders' Check 'Show hidden Files and Folders
Step 4) Uncheck 'Hide Extensions for known Filetypes'
Step 5) uncheck 'Hide Protected Operating System Files' (Never folow M$ recomandations!)
Step 6 Click 'Apply to all Folders' then 'OK'
Now connect you iPod to you PC. Should iTuens come up either ignore it (or close it), Under no circumstances let it take over your iPod!
Go back to the Windows Explorer Your iPod should be listed as an external HHD which you can now access. Your Music is located in about 2 dozen Fxx Folders in x:\iPod_Control\Music. Copy all those Fxx Folders to your Laptop and you'll be set to doubble click 'em back into iTunes...
