Hi there, thanks for reading.

My iPod mini needs to be repaired - it skips songs, fastforwards them, stops randomly, and has buttons misfunction. If anyone has any ideas for helping an iPod beyond extensive restoring and resetting, please feel free to offer some advice...

But anyway, I have resigned to the worst and sent a repair/service request to Apple. I'm in the UK, but hopefully anyone can help.

- Now I have requested service, will Apple automatically send me my box to package my iPod? Is there anything I need to do, or anything they will have to do? The status of the service is "Dispatch Sent", what does that mean?

- Anyone know how long do they take to send me my box (and do a repair?)

- Here's the important one; at what point do they take into account my warranty? Or, at what point in the repair process do I have to be in warranty? I submitted my request while under warranty but only have 14 days remaining. Surely I'm safe now, they won't take ages and then deny me warranty service?

I know you must get posts like this all the time but PLEASE let me know your thoughts - I'm getting a bit concerned.

Thanks - Steve

They should take in account the day you requested the service for warrenty repair.

If you have not received a box in 48 hours call apple technical support and tell them. They ship the boxes overnight.
