I don't currently have an iPod, but have been doing some research, etc...yeah, the same old story of waiting around for the "deal". ;)
I'm someone who doesn't particularly care about the photo capabilities, so I've been hunting around for some of the discontinued 40GB monochrome models, and HP currenly has refurbished models at a pretty good price. I'm wondering a) if anyone has experience with their refurbished models and whether they generally worked well or not, and b) whether they've got a similar battery replacement program to Apple. I've done some searching on the forums for answers on this, but haven't seen anything too specific. And yes, I'm planning on getting an extended warranty...
Thanks in advance; once I get one these fun newfangled devices, I hope to contribute to some of the threads (especially the music related ones); this place is a great resource and it's been invaluable to me in researching exactly which kind of device I want to get!
