Share music, anyone?

So, how do I share music between iPods? My wife has an iPod on her PC, and I also have an iPod on my PC - how to share OUR music? I keep getting denied...

Try Yamipod, it will allow you to download from your iPod to your wife's computer and vice versa, then you can use itunes or Yamipod to upload from that computer to one of you iPods. Yamipod is free just google for it.

Moderators: I don't think this violates the Forum Policy reguarding copyrights since they're married thier music collection is considered "communal property", so please don't ban me, etc. If this does violate the Forum Policy, sorry, no harm intended.

If you have big enough drives just go to where to music is stored on each PC burn a few re-writable CD's and then transfer the music. Then jus go to your perspective iTunes and under "File" add the folder/folders of music.

OR

If you have the comp's networked, just share your "iTunes Music" folders and then drag and drop into iTunes...

Heres the easiest idea. And it requires no downloading.
1. Go in iTunes on either computer and set the ipod to enable "hard disk" mode.
2. Open "My Computer" (on the computer you are transfering music to) and go to "Tools" and select "Folder Options". Select "view"on the top of the window and scroll down until you see "Show hidden files and folders", click it to enable it and press ok.
3. Open "My Computer" again and poen the iPod folder. (or removable disk if it says that) and open it. then copy the "Music" folder to your desktop.
4. On the desktop, right-click the music folder and select properties and un-click the hidden selection. Press ok.
5. Open iTunes and select "File" and select "Add folder to library", go to the desktop and select the music folder and select all of its contents and click ok.
6. In iTunes go to the top of the window and select advanced and click "consolidate library", and wait for it to finish and your done.
This should only take 10-20 minuted depending of your computer and your music library.
