itunes won't recognize my cds

For some reason, my itunes recognized some cds but it won't recognize other ones. Even if i manually bring up the autoplay thing in windows and choose import using itunes, nothing happens. Does anyone know why and how I can get it to work?

Some CD's are copy controlled. What you need to do to import these CD's is the very first time you run these CD's, hold in the shift key. This will disengage autoplay, and they should be able to import.

If you have already put the CD in, try another computer, and as you put the CD in, hold in shift for ~5 seconds and then try to rip it.

I don't think they are (copy controlled) though because they're burned copies my friends gave me
