Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. I just got it yesterday and used it today at the gym. It worked great to attach my Shuffle to my gym shorts. It stayed in place perfectly and I don't think there is any chance that it would fall off unless you hit it. It does have some "ribs" on the back of the clip itself and the part that clips to the Shuffle which help grip your waist band. The one thing that I don't like is that it seems to be made for a much narrower waistband. The waistband is pretty thick on my gym shorts with the elastic and drawstring, so it has to stretch the clip a little more than I'd like, but it doesn't seem close to breaking, but I wish there wasn't that much stress placed on the clip. One thing I do like is how light it is. It doesn't seem to add any extra weight to the Shuffle at all. I couldn't even feel that it was attached to my shorts at all. I also liked how it orients the Shuffle in the horizontal position instead of vertical like most of the other clips I've seen.
Overall, I think the price is a tad high ($20 after shipping), but if you are looking for a clip to attach your Shuffle to your waistband (or anything else thin enough), then I don't think you could go wrong with the SuperClip.
You can see it here (http://www.xtrememac.com/ipodgear/superclip_shuffle.shtml).

I love this clip! The best thing about it is how it changes the iPod Shuffle to a horizontal position - so much better when clipped to your waist. Using this clip, you can't even tell you've got a Shuffle on your body. I also like the fact that once this is on your Shuffle, there's no need to take it off. You have total access to all controls (front and back) and you can plug it into your computer w/o taking the clip off.
This is my second try at a clip for my iPod Shuffle. I bought a Shuffleclip that was just OK - looks like my ten-year old daughter will inherit that one when she gets her own Shuffle.
If you haven't gotten a clip yet, check out the XtremeMac SuperClip.

Will this clip work with silicon skins? I just don't like the idea of running with it where something can get splashed on.

For some minor scratch protection, I have a vinyl skin on mine, which only protects the front and back, but I like it.

If you want both, then I think the only option would be "The Clips" from DVForge. Since that one just attaches to the USB port, you could still have a skin on the body of the Shuffle. But, there have been some unfavorable comments about them here so you may want to read those first. Plus, water could still get under the USB cap since that's not sealed.
Neither the XtremeMac, DLO, Shuffle Mate, or Shuffle Clip will allow you to use the clip plus a skin either. Am I missing any clips?
You may be better off with an armband.

i will have do conduct some more research before i buy. You're welcome, but I just looked at "The Clips" review (http://www.ipodlounge.com/index.php/reviews/comments/dvforge-the-clips-for-ipod-shuffle-ipod/) and if you look at the first picture and look at the rounded clip one, it doesn't look there would be room to put that cap on the USB plug with a skin on. Although, it does look like the alligator clip (the saw-like one) may work, but I've never been a fan of that design. I would think it would be wise to call up DVForge though if you did want those, to see what they say.
I definitely know where you are coming from though, because I loved my Contour Showcase case for my 4G ipod since it was very protective and it had a removable belt clip. I even e-mailed Contour Design to see if they were planning anything like that for the Shuffle, but they said they weren't. Maybe if you e-mail them too, they might change their mind. Even something like the Apple Sport Case with a removable belt clip would be cool.
Anyway, like I said, I use the Super Clip with a vinyl skin and I think it get's good protection from scratchs (for at least the front and back), but it obviously wouldn't do any good for splash protection.

Hello,
If you are looking for a clip that fits the shuffle with a silicone case, you might be intersted in reading the power support silicone jacket review. It's in the shuffle cases review section because it is first of all a silicone case, but on the power support usa website, they sell a $23 "silicone jacket set" = silicone skin + clip.
Hope this helps.

I bought this clip for the horizontal thing so that I can clip it to my CamelBak/hiking bag strap, clip on sideways, Shuffle vertical. Works great for this purpose. Also got a DLO clip for the gym.

I don't have my silicon case yet, but I dont see how adding one can not make it fit in the clip. Are silicon cases really that thick? Wouldn't it just be a tight fit in the clip with the silicon case on?

Wouldn't it just be a tight fit in the clip with the silicon case on? The silicone case I bought off ebay is definitely too thick for the SuperClip. Just think, for the Shuffle to not fall out of the clip, it has to be basically a perfect fit, so there is no real extra room. I have one of those vinyl decals on mine and even that decal is a little thick for the SuperClip, but it still works with the decal on.
If you really want the protection of a silicone case and a belt clip, the SuperClip is not the way to go. Look at the Power Support case that is mentioned and pictured above.

I've got the Super Clip and love it for running with it clipped to my waistband -- but that was before I read all those posts about sweat killing the Shuffle. I stared at the clip and it seems to me that it holds the Shuffle away from the shorts waistband, so I don't think sweat will get in there. Am I right about that or do you think sweat will eventually kill the Shuffle anyway? I'm also going to experiment with wearing the Shuffle clipped to the back of my hat while running.
BTW saran wrap seems to work perfectly as a cheapie skin which can then fit in the Super clip without problems!

I would think that as long as you aren't dripping sweat directly on the Shuffle then you should be fine. For the month before the SuperClip came out, I just put mine in my gym shorts pocket and it was fine. But then again, my shorts aren't soaked with sweat when I'm done working out. So with the SuperClip holding the Shuffle away from your shorts, I would think it would be fine there.

Thanks mtnagel! I was hoping that dead Shuffles were more likely to be caused by serious wetness like dripping sweat and that the clip would be fine otherwise. I do love the thing!
I was hoping at first to just be able to use my keypocket in my running shorts. But they do get incredibly sweaty, so the clip on the waistband is probably my best bet. Thanks again for your help!

Well, if your shorts are that wet, maybe you should keep doing the saran wrap for more protection just in case. Or, maybe you should think about the Speck Connect & Protect (http://www.speckproducts.com/cp-shuf.html). Just a suggestion as I'd hate for your Shuffle to die from sweat when the Shuffle is so perfect for the gym.

I think I'm going to check out the Power Support case first, just in case. Might as well add to my collection of Ipods and clips and cases! (I have the 2g, 3g, 4g, Mini, and Shuffle; each with a collection of half-used cases, clips, and so on. I think I need to see a psychiatrist and just confess: Doctor, I have this terible problem. I keep buying Ipods!)
Thanks again for your help -- I see you understand my quandary!
