Hi, I hope I'm in the right forum for this, I'm a new user to iPodlounge and will probably start posting regularly here once I get my new iPod (in a few days)!
I just wanted to say hi to you all and look forward to conversing with you, this seams like a good community.

Hey! Welcome to the Lounge.
Yeah, it's a great community here, you'll enojy it. And yes, you posted in the right forum :D
What kind of iPod are you getting?
Eric
durrson,
Hi, and welcome to iPodlounge - we like to think we have built up a friendly and helpful community for 'all things iPod' and hope you find the answers to any questions you might have about your new iPod.
To avoid any Noob Hunters make sure to read the FAQ's ( under the "Help" dropmenu at the top of the page ) and don't forget to use the search function if you have a problem post - many questions have been asked before and will have been answered. ;)

Thanks guys,..
I'm getting an iPod mini, I've wanted one for years but I'm on a (very) limited budget. A cheque came for me from the Inland Revenue with a £300 figure on it so I decided to get one finally.
After weighing the pros and cons between price, functionality and my expected use of the iPod, I decided on the 6 Gig model after reading the review here. Seems to offer the best price for what I need it for.
Only problem now is, it'll arrive early morning before I go out to work and it'll make me want to skive for the day...

My my, haven’t things changed over the years?
I thought to celebrate my 100th post I would find my first one and see what’s changed since I became a member.
Now, I don’t post regularly, I think 100 posts since 2005 is quite poor, something I hope to rectify actually, so what’s changed since then?
Well, my iPod evolution has changed significantly, my first was 6Gig iPod Mini, Then, two years later I got an 80Gig Video iPod for Christmas then lost it 4 days later whilst I was on holiday! – I was so devastated my partner at the time bought me a new one :-)
Then I simply ran with for a while until in December 08, I got myself an iPhone and I’m absolutely loving it!
My old iPod Mini is in a drawer somewhere, it’s a nice keepsake “my first iPod” lol – I’m using my Video iPod to a storage device (I use it to transfer files between me and my mates when we meet up) and my iPhone is now my main device.
So,.. I wonder if in 2013 I’ll be at post 200? – Dunno, hopefully more than that but what i’m more interested to know is what device will I own and will I look at my iPhone as a quaint piece of technology.
