Shuffle and Windows ME

Is there any problem using the Shuffle as an external drive on a machine running Windows ME?

Actually, i just tested this out using a friend's Shuffle. A Windows ME machine will recognize the Shuffle as an external drive. However, I've read that iTunes will not work.

So then using an IPod Shuffle with Windows ME as an external drive can you use another program to put the music on from your CD's?
