So, I'm looking for a case that's completely clear, kinda soft plastic, nothing hard or designed for real drop it on concrete style protection, just something that gives it a bit more grip when you hold it, prevents scratches BUT retains the look of the ipod. Any suggestions?

Thanks

iSkin in 'Ice' is the only option, methinks.

Do a search on the forums for some opinions. :)

...and, of course, realize that discussions about iSkin.com should be separated from discussions about the iSkin eXo.

Oops. Of course! (blame it on the lack of caffeine)

How about that maclear zip case?

I think Lajo said he was designing a new one as well...

But from the requirements that you listed, the zip case seems to be your best bet.

If you buy an exo which is what you're probably looking for they come with a free zip case.
