I'm not too happy with this bit of kit - or maybe I'm just too fussy.
Is the belt clip supposed to "spin around" on the Ipod itself? The screw is tight but when I "lock" the belt clip on I can spin it around and around on the screw with my finger. It doesn't seem very stable - is it supposed to move around like that?
And as for the plastic screen protector - so far I am finding it impossible to fit without these horrible smudges appearing when the plastic touches the LCD display.
Does everyone have these problems or is it just me?
The actual skin is nice but I'm not happy with the so-called features.

The pod will rotate in the clip - it doesnt have any method of holding it fast in an upright position - this is probably best as it means it can swivel as you move, without being forced into what ever position the user is in (ie getting out a car - if it was permanently straight, and you forced it upwards, the plastic bit attached to your belt might pop over the top of your belt. whereas rotating, means it swivels out of the way, and stays safely on your belt).
To get round the smudges, I use a PDA screen protector on the screen (have used it since i got the ipod), then putting the shades protector on as normal leaves the screen unsmudged.

I have also heard that leaving on the screen protector for awhile, like over night, will get rid of airpockets you see...

The screen protector is actually designed (as I have read here) not to actually touch your iPod's screen, except around the edges. This means there is supposed to be an airgap under the visible portion of the screen.
I have found that if I re-seat the screen protector taking care to apply pressure only at the edges, I have no bubbles or wet/slick look.
I must say this is not 100% perfect, but MUCH better than my previous attempts where I applied pressure across the full surface of the screen protector.
Good luck!

Yeah the screen protector gets better as time progresses. Or you can wash it with soap then re-apply it and it should look much better without smudges. So before you knock it give it time, All those other jackets and sleeves for the ipod doesn't even come with a screen protector. So there
Your comments lead to a better product, if you have a bone to pick let it out because you comments are taken seriously and the end result a better product

I don't like the belt clip, either...I can't use it while exercising, it bounces around too much, which my iPod does NOT like. I have to take it out of the iSkin and put it in the case that came with my iPod if I'm going jogging, which is a pain in the butt. :/ I don't think it's the clip itself that's the problem, the flexibility of the iSkin where it meets the screw for the clip stretches a little when I jog, causing the iPod to be jolted around.
You will soon see a special case designed for jogging and active sports.

Its not the iBra? Special sports bra with a compartment inbuilt for your iPod and cable channel to prevent loose cable lash marks and a convenient holder for sports drinks, similar to trekking hydration systems.........:D

Lol... nice jogging case.
Here's another idea for a jogging case. Have the ipod cradled below your left or right armpit... You know, like how the TV detectives carry their guns ;)

You can slow down the jostling considerably by going to Office Depot and buying a small roll of the black tape used for striping on dry erase boards. 3/16ths width should do it. Then carefully wrap some of the tape around the shank of the screw maybe 3 or 4 times. Then snap the clip back on. That way, the belt clip fits tighter and won't jostle as much. The more tape you use, the tighter it gets. Experiment. You can get it so the belt clip won't rotate at all if that is your goal. Not much you can do about the sag though.
Remember 1 case can not meet all of your needs. Serious joggers are going to need case that mold will mold with their body and that is what I am going to make.

I tend to agree with the complaints....its really inherently unstable due to the material its made with. Even walking down the street with it clipped to the strap of my briefcase makes it swing all over. I also have had the same problem with the screw coming loose, dropping the ipod twice so far to the street. (On the plus side....it has survived both falls!) I don't think it's necessarily a bad case, just designed for really mellow uses. Wish I saw more comments along these lines before I dropped $30, though!
If you feel it is not the case for you and you had it for less than 14 days contact me a lajo@lajo.biz
