HI all-

I got all excited yesterday when i first got my Airplay, plugged and play, worked like a charm within seconds. I drive a company car Buick Regal (it's the worst car i've ever driven inmy entire life, btw.), it sounded reasonably clear and without the annoying hum, etc.

I decided to test it with my husband's BMW last nite, and man, it didn't work at all!!

Anyone else tested Airplay in BMW??

My friend also told me that her FM transmitter didn't quite work in her BMW as well...

thanks

what year is your BMW? you might need to disable auto-scan on the head unit so the airplay can pick up a free station.

bhb399mm, can you provide any more detail on the disable auto-scan thing? I was planning to try an fm transmitter (e.g., Airplay) in my 2002 e46 before moving on to more invasive procedures...

I have a 2001 Bimmer, and the auto scan thing is driving me nuts. How do you disable it? Thanks!

Very interesting post. I bought an iTrip and it didn't work at all in my 2000 BMW 323ci.

I just assumed it was because I lived in Los Angeles and there were too many radio stations here for it to work properly. I never even thought that it might be the car. Very interesting.
