I don't understand why all these cases are coming our for the Shuffle. I could understand real iPods, because they get scratched alot easier and is more noticable.
With the shuffle, it's a solid white body... I can understand why someone would want color, but how about a removable sticker that slides in and our of yoru pocket, easier than a rubber case?
I don't get why iPodlounge is making such a big deal out of articling and reviewing cases for a pack of gum sized iPod, that barely scratches.

The cases all look the same as well. All those plain silicone sleeves and stuff.
They do seem to attract scratches as easily as their bigger siblings - hence the desire to sheath them in something!!

We aren't going to not cover an entire product line just because you and possibly some others think they're unnecessary. The products are out, people are buying them, and iPodlounge will report on them.
Now if you restrict your question to just people who buy these shuffle cases, then you can possibly make a point. But even then I disagree because my shuffle has some light scratches and could use a case.

An entire product line of the same thing? What's the point?
I don't see much of a continuing review of the same silicone/rubber case.
I don't disagree that they should be completely stopped, I am voicing my opinion with reasonable backup, so I have a point. I think it's being too big a deal for such a small player with no screen to scratch.

the answer is money
if someone is willing to buy a case, there will be 20 companies trying to sell them a case.

they're not all the same, they all offer similar products but some may have different functions, some people may want and included lanyard, some may want a case the flips open as apposed to 2 seperate pieces, etc. If ipodlounge didnt recieve all these products and review them then there would be a lot of people who would have to buy 10 cases for their shuffle to find the right one.

I don't think so. Money is the biggest reason. I am just sick of seeing and hearing about them.

It gives people who own shuffles more options. People pay good money for shuffles and love them probably just as much as we love our ipods and they want to protect them. Just because they are less expensive doesn't mean people should not take care of them.

i just made my own, its a plastic thing that completely covers it (to protect not just from scratches, but also from liquids), but mainly so it attaches to an armband i made for exercise. i don't see why to waste money on a case, i made this for less than $5. the cases out there are like $20-$40 too, so its a high % of the price of the shuffle itself...

I know the scratches won't be as apparent, but I wanted a case to protect mine from the sweat when I run. The sport case seems to do the trick
