Mounting My iPod . . .

Hey guys,

I have a 1993 Geo Prizm LSi 5 SPD and was wondering what's the best way to mount my iPod? I don't want to use the cup holders because the iCarPlay thing that attaches to the bottom of the iPod gets in the way. I would prefer the color of the mounting device to be black, since it would match the interior, but I'll take a look at whatever you guys can find. Thanks a bunch!

I don't know about the windshield thing.... the iCarPlay cord... would have to go all the way up there.....

Go to Arkon's web site and have a look at their universal PDA mounts (the iPod ones are the same but the universal ones are black not white). You can get something that will mount on the side of the centre console so you can keep the wiring out of the way. The Dock connector on the bottom of the iPod will fit fine.

my arkon cm629 arrives today. fits in ipod with ipod speck skintight casing.

i like the 629 back design better than the other arkon vent mounts.

the belkin cupholder and the griffin one will work with dock mounts -- how big is the icarplay thing? are you sure that it wont work?

Looks fantastic, congrats! It also looks like more than enough room for a dock connector like the Belkin I've got. I've gone ahead and ordered one of these for myself now and will post back when it gets here with in-car shots.

The adhesive sucked.... so I just used screws. If anyone has a better way of mounting it to the carpet just let me know.
