I was thinking of using the Belkin unit if it is good quality, is it??
so now the questions
which is a better quality sounding setup
Setup A
Belkin Unit --- >Headphone cable ---->headphone jack on pioneer head unit
Setup B
Belkin Unit ----> headphone to rca convertor -----> cd changer adaptor (seen below) --- CD changerjack on pioneer
here is the adaptor

hmm.. i'll take your word for it that you've got a 1/8" mini input on the back of your HU.. thats pretty cool.. i'd just go with the mini plug input and leave the CDC harness open incase you want to add that option in the future.
i've used the belkin in several cars(including mine) with no problems... two thumbs up
edit: the reason i wouldnt worry about the CDC input is because... usually the CDC to RCA would have better sound quality than a mini plug... however, since you're going to use a miniplug in the belkin adapter anyway that isnt really a concern.

ok i figured out that the headphone connector on the back is for something else and not an AUX
so what would sound better
belikin-----> mini jack to rca adapter -------> RCA cd changer adaptor
or
Belkin -----> mini jack cable on both ends -------> mini jack to cd changer adaptor

i would think this would be better.. however, from my understanding, once you put a miniplug into the situation what-so-ever you might as well use two...
i'm not sure you could get your hands on an miniplug/CD changer adapter anyway.

I would just stay with the mini to CD changer adapter. The more converstions/connectors you have the more chances you have to introduction interference and noise into your signal.
Less is more in this case. The signal isn't going to get any better by converting it to RCA then to the CD changer adapter cable.

a couple of connections won't be a problem with sound quality, especially if the have good quality contacts. just keep the cables as short as possible.
the mini jack on the back of the unit is for wired remote control. if your car has controls on the steering wheel or on a stick next to it you can get an adapter to control the pioneer from it.
