Any alternative to earbuds/headphones that is also EASY/portable?

My problem with headphones or earbuds is I'm not savvy to letting EMFs penetrate my brain waves so directly - I mean come on!

I bought some portable travel speakesr by Creative so I can listen anywhere, but I have to connect them to the ipod via a wire, and they're like twice as big as the ipod itself.

It's not really a great travel solution.

Is there like plug-in mini-speakers for the ipod?

Yeah there is (http://www.macally.com/spec/ipod/podwave.html) but I guarantee you're not going to be impressed by the output.
