I bought my 2g 4gb mini a couple of weeks ago and i just started to notice a buzzin and crackling noise in the left bud of my headphones. I never listen very loud, but some friends of mine always listen to their music loud and nothing is wrong with their headphones. what should i do? contact apple?

Ask if you can just upgrade to in-ear ones while you're at it ;D

you could try fixing the headphones, suck on the metal plate of the headphones and then see if they work. I tried it and its worked for me. I also know other people where its worked them. worth a try if you want to save the hassle of contacting apple

just get new ones from apple's website, it takes three days max to arrive and you don't have to send in your old ones

hah, I just blew em out this week, along with a nice pair of sony's. This sucks. I'm even really cautious about it!
