Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. Hello all!
My first iPod should be arriving soon (4thG, 40GB), and I've been looking around for cases. However, i just learned from the FAQ section of iPodLounge that the entire metal back of the iPod acts as a heat dissipater for the hard drive, and is best left exposed to the air rather than being stuffed inside a case. Now i'm all confused! I don't want the poor thing to overheat, but i also don't want to ruin it with scratches..... and God forbid I drop it. Not sure what's best..... any help?

Just imagine if you iSkin did reach high temperatures whiles in your back pocket and when you pulled it out it became a gluppy mess.

i havent really ran into this problem, yes it does get a little warm, but its not really a big deal, only problem i had was with the iskin clip melting onto the back of my ipod, with a little bit of work i got it off, other than that i have no problems and i always charge my ipod in a case.

i got an artic iskin and i leave it on while charging. just turn the ipod upside down (back facing the ceiling) so the holes release the heat
