Mini And Itunes Question

I have a 1gig Shuffle already and using the current update. My question is I was just giving a Mini 4 gig as a brithday gift, and want to know do I have to still install the sofeware that came with Mini? Or can both Ipods run off the current software on the PC from the update I downloaded the other day

Both iPods can work fine with a single iTunes installation. However, if you have a Windows PC you will need to use the installation CD that you received with the iPod mini in order to format the iPod for use with Windows.

Also I forgot to ask when I install the software for the Mini would it over write the shuffle software, or would I be able to run both Ipods on the same PC

It shouldn't mess with the Shuffle software...you can use multiple iPods on a single computer.
