I have a iPod photo currently connected through the headphone socket via a mini-jack to stereo phono connection to car stereo. I have discovered the sound isn't the best so I tried the line-out withthe photo dock and it's much better. Is there a cheap cable available that will connect to the iPod dock and have stereo connections out?
Also, will using the the dock connector for sound drain more power than using the headphone connection for sound? I'd prefer not to have my iPod charging in the car all the time so I'm hoping to avoid the Belkin auto kit for the moment.
thanks in advance for any replies,
center15.

Wal-Mart sells a nice black Belkin(1/8" to dual RCA) audio cable for less than $5.00. The white ones go for $20.00.

good question.. i would think not, it might actually save battery power because the ipod is not having to use its internal amp.. just speculation here tho, it wont lower battery life

also look into the SendSation PockerDock with line-out capabilites. Basically mimics the Apple standard dock in a much smaller form http://www.sendstation.com/us/products/pd_lineout.html
