I'm in the market for a good HU that I can hook my Ipod to. I was planning on getting the DEH-P7600MP , but decided to wait after hearing that many of the companies were going to soon come out with HU that would be come compatiblewith the ipods. I see Pioneer's Ipod adapter isnt coming out for another two weeks or so, so I thought I'd do my research beforehand. I have a sub (jl w3) and would usually just use playlists (searching for the exact artist with ease isnt a must for me. basically I would just be using the HU as a radio and using it for my IPOD. no mp3s. I can tell you now that Alpine's "glidetouch" isnt for me, for I would usually just use the remote. So I ask you all, if you could help me finding the right HU for me. I was currently looking at the DEH-P80MP
and the DEH-P7700MP . Any comments/ideas would be much appreciated. HU under $300.
thanks in advance.

If you are not stuck on Pioneer, the Kenwood Ipod contoller is already out (KCA-IP500) for under $100. I currently have the Icelink Plus, but after adding the Sirius tuner to my head unit and then the Icelink thru the tuner I lost some of the functions (still sounds good though) and text scrolling.

Someone on this forum had a similar setup to what I wanted but used the new Kenwood Ipod controller and retained all the functions. I will end up having the Kenwood Ipod controller connected to the Sirius Kenwood tuner which will be connected to my Kenwood head unit. I will be able to control everything with my one remote.

If don't have to have an Ipod controller made my the same company as the head unit you buy, there are many companies selling ipod controllers compatible to aftermarket stereos.
