How large a hole does one drill in the case for the earphone plug? I read something about using a rubber grommet (what size?) in the hole, so would the original hole need to be larger to use the grommet? Thank you for your suggestions.

try putting some epoxy around the edge

or try sanding it down..i used a chunk of concrete i found and it worked fine lol
