In XP, I am plagued by having track numbers before the names of tunes in my music directory listings. Anyone know of a way to get rid of them without doing each one individually?

Many thanks

You can highlight the file, hit F2, and an inline editor pops up and allows you to change the name of the file. If you are using iTunes, or probably any other library management software, this will cause that song to not be found in your library. You would have to find the file again for the library to know it is there.

You can do all of them with one click using Tag&Rename, but just realize that they will then no longer be listed in the order they appear on the CD, but rather alphabetically.
