I think I have hit the point where I should beging to back up my music files in case something catostophic should occurr. I have about 5500 MP3's, and probably a couple hundred image files. What would be the best practice to back these up?

Ish, I don't have a DVD-R. I would need a DVD Recorder to do so correct? All I have is CD-RW Drive.

An external USB or Firewire hard drive may be a wise investment. Or many many CDR's if you don't mind patiently burning them all.
