I have a 3G 20gb iPOd and my daughters both have Mini Ipods. We all use the same PC running XP. What is the easiest way for us all to have our own libraries but without having more than one copy of the same song on the computer?
I don't seem to be able to give their user accounts access to my music library, so I have had to make copies of the same songs and put them in their iTunes folders.
Surely there must be an easier way?
Thanks in advance

put all your music in the library
make 3 different playlists
each person drags a song from the library onto their playlist
hook up iPod + drag playlist to iPod = problem solved.

What you need to do is the above, or if you want to keep seperate users for all of your family, then do this.....
Go to options in itunes, then advanced, then change the music storage folder to " c:/music"
then you will have to delete all your music from the itunes library and add it in again.
This way the file "c:muic" can be accessed by any user of the computer
Alternatively you can go to "sharing" right click on the my music folder and untick the "make folder private" checkbox Hopefully this should grant access...

why not just make three users on your pc. Itunes saves each stuff individually so it will easier that way for you
