disconnecting ipod while restoring

Hi i was just wondering if anything bad can happen if i turn off my comp or disconnect while ipod is restoring because the restore is taking more than 5 minutes and seems to be frozen. I did it anyway and it started to restart when i shut it down but i'm just worried if it'll cause any long term effects thanks

If you've already done it, there's not much reason to be asking us - either it works afterwards or it doesn't. Does your iPod work alright now? Then you're okay.
