I'm stuck, as is my iPod. I own the first iPod that came out for Windows (Gen2?). I have had it for about 3 years now. Recently (as in the last two months) it started to act funny. For example, the display would inform me that it was fully charged, but then when I went to play it, it wouldn't respond, as if the battery was dead. After plugging it in for a second time, it would only hold a charge for about two hours. Other times, it wouldn't even respond to plugging it in. It wouldn't recharge or anything. Just a dead iPod.

So, I purchased a new battery (http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Newer%20Technology/BIPOD2100M12/). I installed it and it has been working beautifully for about a week now. Until this morning...I removed it from the charger, fully charged, and blam, nothing. Dead iPod. I tried plugging it back in to the wall charger. It won't respond. I tried plugging it into my CPU. Nothing.

I have no idea what I have done. Any ideas? I'm desparate.

Thanks,

-B

Okay, solved the problem. I was tooling around here (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61705) and found out how to reset my iPod. Can't believe I've owned the stupid thing for three years now and didn't know this info. Sorry.
