Will updating firmware cause my Ipod to reload all the music?

i am curious about this because i do not have time to reload all 4000 songs to my iPod tonight, but i was prompted to update my firmware for my 3G iPod.... will updating firmware cause my iPod to reload all of my music?

No, it updates just the firmware, takes 10-20 seconds. It only reloads your music if you do a restore.
