Marware TrailVue

Anybody have the Marware TrailVue case? Is it available at the Apple Retail Store? How is this case and is it comparable to the iSkin?

I bought mine on eBay (http://www.ebay.com/), at the suggestion of someone who commented on the review page. The color I wanted wasn't available, so I contacted the seller (eaglegame) and she put one of the right color up for sale within a day. I spent just about $30 including shipping. It was brand new, sealed in the original packaging.

I just got it in the mail yesterday and I like it so far, although when you open the cover, the top wants to pull my headphones partway out unless I hold it carefully. We'll see how that goes. It sure looks nice, though.

I don't know the iSkin so I can't compare. This is my first case.

I've had a look at the TrailVue before and I must say I liked what I saw. I never bought it in the end as I already had the Marware Sportsuit Sleeve but it was very well built and looked like it offered a lot of protection.

I don't like the iSkin very much, I just don't think it offers much protection. Looks nice though.:cool:

Ok. I think I will get the TrailVue but does the Apple Retail Store sell it?

As far as I know the UK apple store does not sell them and I believe the US is pretty similar. Besides, I'd have a look on ebay first. You never know what you might find

yeah i would rather buy it new though. It doesn't have to be the Apple Retail Store, but just as long as it is in the Mall of America.

well i heard from marware and they said "We do not handle most of our
distribution so I can¹t tell you where in your area to purchase our case.
I'm sorry! The only other option I can think of is to call Dr. Bott (our
distributor) directly and ask them. (877-611-2688)"

You could always buy it direct from Marware at www.marware.com. And there are loads of third party Ipod accessory sellers (at least in England anyway), just search on Google.:cool:

and besides mweston got a brand new one off ebay. Maybe you could contact the same seller, she if she has anymore.

well i did a search on dr. bott and found the website (www.drbott.com). did some looking on the website and found that yes Marware items are sold at Apple Retail Stores& Resellers. Drbott.com also sells other Apple iPod items.

I got my Marware Trailvue from www.datavis.com
bought it for $24.95 + shipping. It was brand new
in a case, and I love it. It's made really strong,
protecting the screen and scrollwheel. It looks
very stylish and nice also. I think it's absolutely
worth it.

What kind of skins do people recommend? And what about iShade screen protectors? Any good?

yeah definatley the sportsuit. (which is what i ended up getting myself becuase the apple store did not have the trailvue). the sportsuit is much more adaptable with a belt clip and armband and other accessories sold seperatley
