becker meets ipod

Old meets new . . . I have a 85' Mercedes 300TD, aka baby benz, with the original factory radio, Becker. Classic beauty of old tunes technology. The question is how does one hardwire into the Becker? Any thoughts? I prefer not to spend the money on a new head unit and like the becker as is. Is it possible to add an amplifier and plug the ipod into the amp (adding a power antenna to amp??)
