annoying ipod problem(windows)

I have a Windows Xp computer, and I have this annoying problem. Everytime I hook my mini up to my system, windows automatically adds all of my mp3s on my hard drive to a folder called "music". This folder is not in the main control section of the ipod. Every bit of space gets filled an I have to delete the unwanted mp3s.

No, I do not have automatic update turned on in Itunes.

Does anyone else experience this?
