Hi,

I was just wondering whether it is possible to fomat iPod with different cluster size. The file system on windows platform is FAT32 and the default cluster size in 4K.

If I can specify custom cluster size say 512 bytes I guess you will have overall more storage space as full 4K will not be wastes in case of partially filled clusters.

I am assuming that the filesystem on iPod behaves as standard FAT32 filesystem.

Also does defragmenting your iPod will damage it?

any thought?

Thanks

Wow, not sure if anyone has tried that before or not. If you decide to do it, make sure you understand that it's *possible* that you could render your iPod unusable.
