There is a aluminum case called Matias iPod armor. I currently have a cheaper version of this case but it scratches up the top horribly and its doesnt even close anymore. I skate and i need something sturdy and durable to hold my ipod is the matias Ipod worth my money?

Who gives a 5417 if it scratches up -- the point is that you don't break your iPod when you fall off your skateboard. A hard aluminum case (with internal rubber or foam padding) is essential for using an iPod in any sport other than golf. If you don't like the scratches, put some stickers on it or paint it.

NappyBoy001, since you probably used the Gadget Accessories version of the case (http://ipodlounge.com/reviews_more.php?id=5734_0_6_0_M). You should happy with the extra quality provided in the original version made by Matias (http://ipodlounge.com/reviews_more.php?id=6303_0_6_0_M).

Apparently, it can be a pain to remove your iPod from the case though. If your budget can't stretch that far, you could always buy another one of the cheaper version. Cheers.

I had this case and it was really really really hard to remove the ipod from the case. It took me 3 medium guitar picks to remove it. But if your going to be skating this could be okay for you. Just dont put it in and take it out very often
