Im confused about the belt clip for iskin. I heard its pretty crappy, but besides that how do u take it on or off. I hear theres like a circle thing that attaches to the ipod, and it gets scratched, but i dont get how its detachable. i also heard it could melt or sumthing?

It's easy to remove the belt clip from the evo2. While it's attached, there is a plastic disk that's on the inside of the silicone, so it would rub up against the metal back of the ipod and potentially scratch it. You just need to fiddle with the latches a little on the clip part on the outside of the case to remove it. Difficult to explain, but not hard to do. The clip part detaches from the disk, and then you can just take both off. I think there's a diagram in the instructions that come with it, actually. Without the clip, it's an excellent case, and the screen protector is the best I've seen.

indeed, it's crappy.. I took it off right after I got it.
i left mine on for a while, then realized it was just taking up more pocket space, when i finally went to take it off it was stuck onto my ipod, took a long time to get off, but it left no damage to the back of my ipod.

What about 'cutting' it off with dental floss?
well if its stuck on i pulled mine off very carefully, eventually i just ended up sticking something under it to just get part of it off, once i got that part the rest of it came off no problem. only took 10 minutes, granted i was in an extreme state of panic at the time...

TrueFunkSoldier is your plastic disc stuck to the ipod or is it that you just can't get the belt clip off.
If you just can't get it off ... you do this ..
Turn the belt clip sideways like you want to wear your ipod on it's side .. then you will see a small slide on the bottom of the belt clip part closest to the ipod which you slide across. Then you slide the belt clip bracket down, turn and it pulls out. Then you can pull the round disc out of the case from the inside. Belt clip removed. Once you get the hang of it its very easy.
There should have been instructions with your case. A little fold out step by step instruction sheet. It's behind the cardboard ipod in the iskin case.

Finally got it after some tampering. I nearly damaged the iSkin. The iSkin did come with instructions, but only how to get the belt clip back on, not taking it off. I bought one for my sister's mini iPod and her's came with the full instructions on how to get the clip on and off. I wonder why mine didn't come with these instructions??!!
THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!!!

Great glad you got it off. It is a bit tricky until you get the hang of it.
I only used my iskin mini instructions as I had that first. I didn't look at the iskin for ipod instructions as I already knew what to do but it is very silly they don't show you how to take it off as it is a bit of a trick.
Anyway, glad you are OK now.

The case is definately a lot better without the clip on it. You can set the iPod down flat on it's back that way, plus it fits better in your pocket etc. The clip isn't even that good to wear on your belt anyway.
