My new 10GB iPod arrived today. I've spent the last 2 weeks looking at pictures of it on the net, reading reviews and I thought I knew what is was going to be like when it got here. Nothing could prepare me for just how small the thing is! Its a stunning piece of engineering, the size of a playing card.

Installed without a hitch. Is it wise to let it charge fully before transferring songs? (i'm using a laptop so i cant sync and charge)

CanaWinPod, I'm in the same boat! I ordered mine the first wednesday it came out, and I still don't have it... Apple is really ####ing with us up here. Why does everyone in the states have one (and can get on the spot replacements), and in Canada, there are NONE??!!? This is an outrage. I am going to call apple, and give them ####!...

Also, the pic of the iPod from Apple Canada's online store changed to the new one about a week ago... Till then, they were using, and selling the old iPod. Apple should really think about what they are doing!

Sooo... today I'm sneaking across the border & buying one at the apple store in Buffalo (*shhh*). *yay* my first iPod!
I'm so excited I'm afraid I'll pee my pants!

Umm.. I dont think your right.

I remember seeing the new iPods in the Apple Canada store on the Friday they first came out. I even recall making a post about it in the old forums.

Well the Mac stores in my area are: B.Mac (my main one), NorthStar (older), and some that only have certain mac products like FutureShop. B.Mac only has 1 10GB demo. They told me today that the 'North' section of North america gets Apple products WAY later than the south.

An estimate is an educated guess... Apple's ETA is 1-2 weeks for iPod delivery. How can it be an educated guess when I am waiting over 3 weeks? This isn't like the old days where it would take months for a product to arrive on horse... I ordered it with the express shipping and everything.
