Nylon, belt slide, velcro closure, big enough to
stash the cords & BUTT UGLY too! It does get
it off my neck though :)

Nice. I too have a case for my shuffle, improvised from a small knife case.
Another case, which allows control of the shuffle wheel was made from a electric lighter case.
There are beltloops for belt borne, or lanyard strung, iPs + case.:cool:

With the "helixpod" case (strength & protection) I think that it's a perfect answer :D
