Hey everyone im new to ipod, but im goign to pick up a shuffle very soon. I have a bunch of songs on kazaa and windows media player, and im wondering do i just transfer them to my shuffle, or is it more complicated?? also i hear that the shuffle seems to favor certain songs, like if it plays it once, its most likely to play it again before other songs....please respond
thanks

Welcome to the lounge
As long as the songs are compatible with the shuffle they can be transferred to the shuffle. You must use iTunes at this point to transfer songs to the shuffle, so you will have to import the songs you already have into this program. I think Xplay is the only other program right now that has iPod shuffle support.
Supported file formats for the shuffle are: MP3, AAC, Protected AAC, and Audible files.
WMA files can not be transferred to the shuffle. These can be imported into iTunes and iTunes can then transcode the songs into AAC or MP3. If you have Wavs or AIFF files they can be transcoded in iTunes to one of the supported formats before transfer to the shuffle.
No idea about the shuffle replaying a song before others. I don't own a shuffle myself.
